Meet a volunteer: Olivia
Tell us a bit about yourself…
Hi my name is Olivia, I’m 22 years old and I studied Economics at Plymouth University.
What do you do with Citizens Advice North Lincolnshire?
I am a Gateway Assessor. Most clients make their first contact with the service through a Gateway Assessment in which we provide a triage service to members of the public by assessing a client’s problem, identifying the essence of the problem and making arrangements for appointments, referrals or signposting.
Why did you volunteer with Citizens Advice North Lincolnshire?
I want to build a career based around helping improve communities and the quality of life for people. Volunteering with Citizens Advice North Lincolnshire is a great first step to doing this.
What is the best bit about what you do?
Meeting our lovely clients and contributing that first step to resolving whatever problem they may face. The knowledge you get through the training provided is also invaluable information which can help in your own life, as well as our clients.
